Udaan of GFMB 8

PAGALPAN… JUNOON… ENERGY… EMOTION… LEARNING… COMMITMENT… TEAMWORK are some of the most basic adjectives or verbs that can be used to describe the FIRST UDAAN OF 2018.

The Victory Of Udaan lies in its essence of execution.

It’s planning stage, it’s preparation stage and its execution are all different dimensions of business and just like management is applied everywhere, Udaan is not an exception.

Udaan of GFMB 8, saw involvement of all those students, who were visiting students 🙂

Udaan of GFMB 8, saw that with every passing batch, Udaan is getting bigger and better.

New things the participants did were introducing team flags, SPJ Flag, and Udaan Flag, event was started by OC dance, participants did research on families of Dabur, Nirma, Wadia, Oberoi, Munjals. They did learn that betting is bad and if you are the front-runner, don’t bet, rather work out your odds and check whether it’s worth it or not…

Udaan of GFMB 8 will be remembered for some of the finest skits (chappal without patti – karobari gang), some of finest business family case study (Wadia – baniyo ki toli), some of the finest dance (standing dance – Businesswale)

Udaan of GFMB 8 will also be remembered because it’s the first (one such happened in Tarang) that the team that won the treasure hunt also won the final Udaan trophy. It will also be remembered because the team had led all throughout, finally became 4th and the team at position 4, became runner up.

Business and Udaan have a very deep relevance and we can relate it for every action and for every stage.

I wud like to thank Parimal Sir for allowing us to experiment this one extremely emotionally charged and learning geared event every year.

Udaan of GFMB 8 saw four judges – Prachi Doshi, Roopa Parekh and Hiral Kanakia (all of WMP 1) and Smita Parekh (who happens to be friend of Prachi). Hiral Kanakia had to leave after drama event and couldn’t b there for dance event. This was her second time as the judge of Udaan.

A good strong GFMB team (Sabina Mam, Deepal Mam, Rakhi Mam, Karishma Mam and a special guest – Afiya Khan) was also present to support, judge and also cheer the participants.

Each team performed to the next level taking Udaan graph notch higher. I can keep on going… but that’s too much to write on a phone…
